This page gives the dates of the official holidays in Barcelona and the UK.
For the days containing or touching these holidays the prices or conditions or minimum number of booking days could be different (or it could be the same or if booking close to the time then it could be cheaper !), please enquire.

Details are also given in the 2nd table for some festivals and events. Normally no price change for the dates in the 2nd events list.

*2 La Mercè is the main festival of Barcelona and it is great. The festival normally runs for approx. 5 days even though only it is a holiday for only some of it. There are a number of stages put in different plazas of the city and each night there is live music which ranges from folk, classical, acoustic, pop, rock, afro, Arab, etc etc. The music venues of the city also have events. And there are events for children etc, its not just a music festival. And various events during the day such as human castles in Plaza Jaime, giants, etc. You can walk from the apartment to the various stages. One stage in Rambla Raval 100 metres away.

(There is also a holiday as Catalunya Day, 11th Sept, but normal prices apply for the apartment so not included in the list above).

End of April. Barcelona Open Tennis Tournament (Moya, Nadal, Gaudio, Ferrero etc)
13th May 2007. Spanish F1 Grand Prix just outside Barcelona.

late June to early August. Yearly Summer Culture/Music/Theatre/Dance etc Festival El Grec.


Some Outdoor Music Events 2nd or 3rd weeks of July at Poble Espanyol, with international names like BB King, Robert Cray.....



Some Outdoor Cinema Events

Normally starts in early July for about 3 or 4 weeks. There are at least 1 large venue for this, and other smaller venues, at CCCB 300 metres from the apartment for example.
