a) Barcelona Apartment. City Centre Location.
This Barcelona tourist apartment is located in the centre of the city in the area of

- the famous Ramblas
- contemporary art and culture centres
MACBA and CCCB
- the new Rambla Raval with terrace bars/restaurants
- the Maritime Museum
(buildings from 1300)
- La Boqueria market ("Best Market in the
World" *1)
- Ancient Hospital of Barcelona (from 1400)(now the National Library of Catalunya)
- discos and live music venues
- the Barcelona Opera House (Teatro Liceu)
- SONAR. Daytime centre for this
international festival
- la Mercé. The annual city festival. 2 live music stages less than 300 metres.

b) Barcelona Apartment, visit Gaudi architecture
To visit examples of Gaudi architecture you can walk from this tourist flat
to Palau Guell, take to metro 5 stops to
Sagrada Familia, or 2 stops to visit La Pedrera or Casa Batllo which are both located in Paseig de Gracia.
To visit Gaudi's Parc Guell it is a longer metro trip.
c) Barcelona Apartment. Ideal for Families
This holiday apartment is very good for families. With the 3 bedrooms no one has to sleep on a sofa in the lounge without privacy
and there is no need to unfold the sofa bed and prepare it each night before going to bed.
The fully equipped independant kitchen room gives the option to prepare family meals, if wished.
And the table in the lounge doubles in size so the whole family can sit and eat together.
With the DVD player and DVDs (including "Antz")
the parents can put the children in a bedroom to watch a DVD while they perhaps enjoy some quiet time in the lounge, perhaps with some music on the Hi-Fi.
d) Barcelona Apartment. Parking is close by
This holiday apartment has the benefit of car parking (approx. 50 Euros for 3 days of 24 hours) only 80 metres away; or free parking in local streets in August.
(or you can leave your car for free 25 minutes walk away, any time of the year ).
The access into the city to the apartment is also easy, using the Ronda Litoral dual carriageway, no traffic lights.
e) Summercase Music Festival 13th and 14th July 2007
For 2007 the bands include Scissor Sisters, Kaiser Chiefs, Jesus and Mary Chain, OMD, PJ Harvey, Chemical Brothers, Jarvis Cocker.
To get to the location there is a bus shuttle service from the city centre, which is where the apartment is, so just a short walk the apartment after the shuttle bus.

f) Primaverasound pop/rock music Festival 31st May, 1st and 2nd June 2007
To get to the main festival location there is a bus shuttle service from the city centre, which is where the apartment is, so just a short walk the apartment after the shuttle bus.

(And the pre-festival showcase events are at the "Apolo", a short walk from the apartment).
g) SONAR Electronic Music Festival 14, 15 and 16 June 2007
The SONAR day location at CCCB is about 300 metres from the apartment.
To get to/from the night venue get the bus service from the city centre, just a short walk to the apartment from where it goes from.
h) Cirque du Soleil
This fantastic human circus show is normally in Barcelona every winter.
i) The Annual City Festival. La Mercé. 21-24 Sept 2007
A great festival. Lots of live music, and big firework shows on 3 nights.
The apartment is in a good location for this, a short walk to the live music stages at Pl.Coromines (behind MACBA and CCCB), Plaza Catalunya, Plaza Real, Plaza St. Jaime and Plaza del Rei.
